1. Synopsis
This course ensures WSHOs can apply predictive safety analytics to enforce proactive incident prevention and ESG-aligned risk management. Participants structure and analyse WSH data, identify leading indicators and high-risk patterns, and derive insights that ensure targeted controls and meaningful sustainability metrics. Using sample datasets and current examples from journals and practice, they build dashboards and management briefs that secure clearer visibility of risk and ESG performance.

2. Programme Description
Across 9 hours, short technical inputs are combined with guided analytics practice. Participants explore incident and near-miss datasets, generate visualisations and trend analyses, and work in teams to create a concise “insight pack” for management. They reference recent articles on predictive safety and ESG reporting to ensure their approaches align with contemporary expectations. Discussions on data quality, bias and privacy enforce responsible use of AI and analytics. Action planning enforces ongoing application of analytics in everyday WSH decision-making.

3. Programme Objectives
On completion, participants will be able to:
1. Ensure more informed WSH decisions through structured analysis of incident and risk data.
2. Ensure detection of critical trends and leading indicators using basic analytics tools.
Ensure management receives clear dashboards and narratives linking WSH and ESG outcomes.
3. Enforce ethical and appropriate use of AI and data, managing limitations, bias and privacy.

4. Alignment to CPD
The course ensures WSHOs improve and broaden their WSH knowledge using current analytical methods and ESG concepts. It keeps them abreast of evolving procedures, data expectations and reporting standards. Hands-on exercises enforce direct application of the latest knowledge and skills. Team presentations and discussions ensure development of communication, management and ethical judgement, broadening capabilities across management, technology, environmental management and emerging legal/ESG interfaces.
