HSE Risk: Solar, Battery & EV
1. Synopsis
This course ensures WSHOs can manage HSE risks in solar PV, battery energy storage and EV charging systems so that decarbonisation efforts are safely enforced. Participants examine hazard profiles, emerging standards and good practices from recent technical literature, then perform structured risk-assessment and emergency-planning exercises. The course enforces safe and sustainable design, installation and operation that protects workers, the public and the environment.
2. Programme Description
The 1-day programme combines targeted technical briefings with practical workshops. Participants review current technologies and failure scenarios documented in recent studies, then conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses for representative installations. They develop or refine safe-work procedures, permits and emergency response plans that enforce robust control of electrical, fire and chemical risks. Group discussions cover stakeholder communication, community safety and environmental impacts, ensuring participants can enforce strong safeguards across the project lifecycle.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
