1. Synopsis
This course ensures WSHOs can deploy connected worker and smart monitoring technologies to enforce stronger control over safety, health and environmental risks in real operations. Participants examine how modern sensors, wearables and IoT devices monitor exposures, equipment conditions and environmental parameters, and how data is used to trigger timely interventions. Through case studies, current research references and team design work, they build practical monitoring strategies that ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen sustainability performance.

2. Programme Description
The 1-day programme combines focused input, demonstrations and practical group work. Participants review current smart-monitoring technologies from recent industry and academic articles, analyse sample dashboards and alarm scenarios, and design a connected monitoring concept for their own work processes. The course enforces attention to thresholds, response workflows, documentation, maintenance and worker acceptance, so deployments are robust and ethical. By the end of the day, participants define concrete next steps to ensure effective integration of connected safety solutions into WSH and sustainability systems.

3. Programme Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Ensure better control of WSH and environmental risks using connected safety and smart monitoring.
2. Ensure early detection of unsafe trends by interpreting real-time monitoring data and dashboards.
3. Ensure practical design of a monitoring concept with clear thresholds, responses and documentation.
